Throwback Thursday Challenge

Over at My Creative Time Emma has posted the Throwback Thursday challenge.  This week it was our choice for which cartridge we wanted to use and the only rule was to use hearts.  Today I received Sweet Treats and Straight From The Nest and I since they're older carts, I decided to use Sweet Treats for the challenge!  I can't wait to try out the cupcake holders and all of the fun options!

I used My Mind's Eye Summer Song paper and I love how glittery it is!  I'm not sure where the yellow glitter paper came from but it really does stand out in person.  I hope my niece likes her card! The stamp inside smudged a little but I think it gives it character. ;)

Recipe:
Sweet Treats - cupcake 5"
My Mind's Eye - patterned paper
DCWV - cardstock
Hero Arts - Stamp
Kaiser Scrapbook - Rhinestones
Palette - Ink
Adhesive - foam tape, Glue Glider Pro

Monochromatic LO!

This was one of our challenges for the crop this past weekend and I'll be honest and say at first I had a hard time with it!  I started out using a picture of P sliding and using orange paper, but I just wasn't feeling it so I ripped it apart.  :)  I tried it again using white and I really love how it turned out!  For the challenge, we were allowed to use metal and white/black along with the color we chose.

The two large flowers as well as the argyle pattern were embossed using my Sizzix.  I "painted" the leaves and smaller flowers with my white ink refill for my StazOn ink pad.  I used icicle Stickles on the leaves and tossed on some ric rac, white sparkly sprigs and one puffy Thicker flower. :) Title was made using metal letters.

Altered Frappuccino Bottle

I've had these empty bottles and the box sitting at my craft desk for a couple months just waiting to be altered and this past week I finally did it!

I love this paper.  It's so beautiful! :) It was pretty easy to alter.  I used Elmer's spray adhesive on the box and my trusty Glue Glider Pro for the bottles.  I think it turned out pretty cute!  I'm not sure what I'll put in the bottles yet, but once I figure it out, each bottle will be labeled with its contents.  :)

Lions, elephants and flowers...Oh my!

I love this paper stack from DCWV. I fell in love with almost every sheet and the glitter might have had something to do with it. :)

I used Faded Burlap distressing ink on the pink cardstock, pp is from The Glitter Stack, and I believe the stamp is American Crafts but can't be sure.

A few more I made:

This paper and lion/elephant stamps are from CTMH (love that line!) and the Happy Birthday stamp is from Jack's World, Cosmo Cricket.

Cardmaking!

Recent ones I've done:

The second picture is the gift I gave our mail carrier for Christmas. I decorated a jar of my homemade apple butter and made him a pop-up card. I hope he enjoyed it! (If you'd like the apple butter recipe, click here!) I assure you, it's delicious and so easy!!

The third photo is the birthday card I made my mom.
