Recent cards

Here's a few recent cards I've done. (Another BBC swap. :))

Thinking of you:  (The white paper is embossed with circles but it's not showing up in the picture.)

Get well soon:

Just a note:  (These were made with the Wild Card cartridge.)

Thank you:  (CTMH paper)

Monochromatic LO!

This was one of our challenges for the crop this past weekend and I'll be honest and say at first I had a hard time with it!  I started out using a picture of P sliding and using orange paper, but I just wasn't feeling it so I ripped it apart.  :)  I tried it again using white and I really love how it turned out!  For the challenge, we were allowed to use metal and white/black along with the color we chose.

The two large flowers as well as the argyle pattern were embossed using my Sizzix.  I "painted" the leaves and smaller flowers with my white ink refill for my StazOn ink pad.  I used icicle Stickles on the leaves and tossed on some ric rac, white sparkly sprigs and one puffy Thicker flower. :) Title was made using metal letters.

Candle Stamping

I tried my first stamped candle yesterday and I love how it turned out!!   You wouldn't believe how easy it was too.  All you need is a heat embossing gun, stamp, ink, wax paper, tissue paper and a clear glue stick.

New Layouts

This weekend at BBC we're having an online crop complete with fast scraps, classes and door prizes! I made a few layouts that I am in LOVE with and I can't wait to share them. :)

Pleated ribbon challenge: (This is using Bo Bunny Flutter Butter line.  It's gorgeous!)

Challenge using red pp, a heart and chipboard:

Sketch challenge: (using U Bug Me line from Bo Bunny)

LO using Abbey Road from MME

I love the Abbey Road line from My Minds Eye! It's so pretty and is great boyish paper. (They have girlish as well.)  This was the page kit that I sent out and honestly. I was stuck on how to use it.  It was definitely a challenge for me! haha  I found a LO on twopeasinabucket.com that I LOVED and I pretty much scraplifted it.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

I used a lot of sewing...surprise! :)  Each patterned paper is sewn along the edges.  I would have sewn the buttons on as well but I need new needles, so I used glue dots instead.

Sorry for the horrible picture.  I'm using my cell until I find a new camera. :P

New Layouts

On BBC (BabyCenter) I'm involved in a page kit swap.  Each person sends 2 pages of patterned paper, one cardstock sheet and embellies.  We're allowed to add to the page with our own goodies as well.  It's been pretty fun! :)  I've really been using a lot of stitching on my layouts lately.  Love it!

Here's a couple that I finished last week.

I'm in the process of separating my blogs since I post my crafts/scrapbooking LOs here and talk about family/weight loss as well.  I know I haven't posted in a few days but I am still working out and loosing a few pounds here and there! :)  Once I finish transferring everything I'll update!  For now, this blog will still be maintained as my scrappy fun blog. :)

Thanks!
