Cardmaking!

Recent ones I've done:

The second picture is the gift I gave our mail carrier for Christmas. I decorated a jar of my homemade apple butter and made him a pop-up card. I hope he enjoyed it! (If you'd like the apple butter recipe, click here!) I assure you, it's delicious and so easy!!

The third photo is the birthday card I made my mom.

Christmas Fun :)

I can't believe it's almost 2010! We had a great Christmas and P had a lot of fun opening his gifts. I'm glad I actually got some smiles out of him this year. haha

Christmas Eve me and P made peanut butter cookies! He did a great job helping each step! :)

DIY Craft Desk

Before last month, I had to pull all of my scrap supplies out of my rolling tote, drag them to the dining room, and pile my table full of scrap goodness. I was completely happy having such a large area to work with, but Willie was less than happy with tripping over my supplies as he walked to the kitchen. :) We decided I needed a desk, but I couldn't find one that I felt was sturdy enough or was in our price range.

I decided that I wanted to build my own desk (you know...since I have so much experience with woodworking haha) but nevertheless, I was determined! I found my desk here at janny pie crafts.

Feeling completely inspired, I decided instead of using 2 cubes from Target, I would build my own. I sketched up some measurements, went over them with Willie, and headed off to Lowes (advertisement!) to get my supplies.

I had no idea how to get started, so Willie showed me how to counter-set (ooo, so that's how it's done!) and away I went! I'm so proud that I built my desk all by myself...okay, minus him getting me started and him helping me a few times I was cursing the screws. :D

I love it! And nothing beats feeling accomplished. :) I made a few changes, but here are the progression pictures!

Wow, I'm completely terrible with keeping my blog up-to-date.

Last weekend we had our first crop from the Scrapbook and Papercraft group on BabyCenter, and it was so much fun! They had challenges, fast scraps, door prizes....just an amazing time!

One challenge I really loved was a fast scrap where our surprise element was to make pinwheels for a LO.

I have another LO that I love but I submitted it for a monthly contest so I can't post it yet. I promise to after November ends though. :)

I meant to post this the other day. This video cracks me up every time I watch it. :) I took this the night we moved into our new home (our household goods weren't delivered until a few days later) and we were keeping ourselves busy. Yes, it's sideways. Sorry. :D

Loving this weather!

Fall weather has offically arrived! I can't explain how much I missed fall weather in the US. I had a great time in Korea but I'm so happy to be back!

Phoenix and I have been going to parks almost every day. I took some really cute pictures of P at the Jefferson Memorial on Sunday. He had a great time playing on the slide!

It's been awhile...

It's been quite a while since I've updated this! Oops. :) hehe

Well, since the last post we've found out where we're heading to next! Fort Campbell, KY! :D We're so excited because it's a short drive to our family (only around 4 hours) and a short drive down to our friends in Alabama! :)

Phoenix turned 21 months on the 16th and he's starting to say a few more words and even started repeating the alphabet at times! He's growing up so fast.

Since last week I've finished a few more pages so I'll post what I've done for the April LOAD (layout a day) for our board on Babycenter.com
