A LO of my hunny and me

Ever had one of those photos where you REALLY want to put it on a LO but haven't found the perfect paper for it?  This picture has been taunting me for over a year now.

Last night I decided to finally finish it!  As I was sadly saying I didn't have any beautiful Prima flowers to add to the layout, a good friend (thanks Liz!) suggested trying to do a few roses Tim Holtz style!  A genius she is! :)

After watching a few tutorials, I felt brave enough to try it.  I do not have the Sizzix die Tim Holtz uses, but I do have my Cricut!  I used a flower from Straight From The Nest and this is the end result.  I used Icicle Stickles and a paint brush to add to the flowers.

I'm also submitting this for Erin Lee Creative.  Every Monday a new challenge for Music Monday will be posted!  This week the song was "You Are The Best Thing" by Ray Lamontagne and all I could think about was our AAAA Ball picture!  So here it is. :)

Recipe:
Straight From The Nest - flower cuts at 2 1/4, 2, 1 3/4 three times each
Making Memories - patterned paper
Say It in Pearls (Hobby Lobby) - bling
Stickles - Icicle
Core'dinations - black cardstock
Hobby Lobby - red cardstock
Adhesive - Beacon craft glue for flowers, Glue Glider Pro
American Crafts - pen

It's that time again!

We're doing another page kit swap on BBC and I've done one LO with it so far.  (one of my kits)  I really like how it turned out.  I don't get the option to use lace much since we have a little boy! :)

I've had this paper for over a year but I've been afraid to use it.  It's so pretty but very busy!  I really like how it turned out.  The snowflakes were stamped onto tissue paper.

I used my Gypsy on this LO too!! I love it!  The Gypsy font is so pretty too. :D

Monochromatic LO!

This was one of our challenges for the crop this past weekend and I'll be honest and say at first I had a hard time with it!  I started out using a picture of P sliding and using orange paper, but I just wasn't feeling it so I ripped it apart.  :)  I tried it again using white and I really love how it turned out!  For the challenge, we were allowed to use metal and white/black along with the color we chose.

The two large flowers as well as the argyle pattern were embossed using my Sizzix.  I "painted" the leaves and smaller flowers with my white ink refill for my StazOn ink pad.  I used icicle Stickles on the leaves and tossed on some ric rac, white sparkly sprigs and one puffy Thicker flower. :) Title was made using metal letters.

New Layouts

This weekend at BBC we're having an online crop complete with fast scraps, classes and door prizes! I made a few layouts that I am in LOVE with and I can't wait to share them. :)

Pleated ribbon challenge: (This is using Bo Bunny Flutter Butter line.  It's gorgeous!)

Challenge using red pp, a heart and chipboard:

New Layouts

On BBC (BabyCenter) I'm involved in a page kit swap.  Each person sends 2 pages of patterned paper, one cardstock sheet and embellies.  We're allowed to add to the page with our own goodies as well.  It's been pretty fun! :)  I've really been using a lot of stitching on my layouts lately.  Love it!

Here's a couple that I finished last week.

Wow, I'm completely terrible with keeping my blog up-to-date.

Last weekend we had our first crop from the Scrapbook and Papercraft group on BabyCenter, and it was so much fun! They had challenges, fast scraps, door prizes....just an amazing time!

One challenge I really loved was a fast scrap where our surprise element was to make pinwheels for a LO.

I have another LO that I love but I submitted it for a monthly contest so I can't post it yet. I promise to after November ends though. :)
